Parking & Transport

Location

Portsmouth Cathedral is located in the heart of old Portsmouth (Southsea), in the south west corner of the island.

The Cathedral is easily accessible via road, railway and park & ride, but please note that on Saturday mornings the traffic can get heavy due to shopping traffic heading for Gunwharf Quays so if you plan to drive down then it is worth bearing this in mind.

Directions by road

Entering Portsmouth on the M275 as it ends at a roundabout, follow the A3 and brown signs for “Seafront” and then “Old Portsmouth”. Eventually “Cathedral” will appear on the signs and bring you on to High Street. This will bring you to the Cathedral.

We highly recommend the Portsmouth Park & Ride, accessible from jct 1 of the M275 (Tipner Road) which is very cheap. There are also multiple car parks within a short walking distance of the Cathedral, as well as on street parking in the local vicinity.

Park & Ride, Tipner Lane, Portsmouth.
